Your chance to help push Advanced Clean Cars and Clean Trucks rules across the finish line happens next week, November 13-15!
The hearings by the Environmental Improvement Board (EIB) are happening in Albuquerque at the NM State Bar. The address is 521 Masthead St. NE, ABQ 87109. Attendance can be in person or virtual, as can public comment.
We’re in the home stretch, and your voice could make all the difference! Sign up to give public comment. Whether you’re an electric vehicle owner, a rural New Mexico resident, or a parent who cares about their children’s future, this is an important opportunity to tell the Board why clean transportation matters to you.
Public speakers are given up to 3 minutes to speak, so you want to ensure your comments are succinct. Your personal story can have a big impact. The in-person and virtual public comment periods are:
- Nov. 13 from noon-1pm
- Nov. 13 from 5-6 pm
- Nov. 14 from 9-10 am
- Nov. 14 from 1-2 pm
The sooner you sign up, the more likely it is you’ll get a chance to speak. If you are in the virtual meeting, sign up in the chat giving your full name, indicate that you want to give a comment, and identify which time slot works best for you. Note that the comment periods are flexible, depending on where it makes sense to break off or begin testimony, so it’s best to join the meeting and sign up early.
You still have a chance to submit a written comment as well, up until the end of the hearing.
Weigh in whatever way works best for you and help support New Mexico’s clean air future. This is a vital step we can take today to deliver the benefits of lower transportation costs, less air pollution, and healthier communities for generations to come.
